Offline Access
Keep a workspace on your device and keep working with no connection.
Offline access downloads a copy of a workspace to your device so you can read and edit without a connection. Edits you make while offline are queued locally and uploaded when you reconnect.
Offline access is off by default. Nothing is stored on the device until you turn it on for a workspace.
Turning It On
Open Settings > Offline Access and turn on the toggle. Wyatt starts an initial sync in the background. Until that first sync finishes, items you have not opened show Not synced yet rather than their content.
Each workspace is separate. Turning offline access on for one workspace does not download the others.
Storage
The Offline Access screen shows how much space the workspace is using on the device, along with a limit you control. Set the limit to match how much of your phone you want Wyatt to occupy, or set it to unlimited.
When a workspace reaches its limit, the sync status shows Storage full and new content stops downloading. Raise the limit or use Remove local copy to clear the workspace's downloaded data and start fresh.
Sync Status
A status pill tells you where sync stands:

| Syncing… | A sync is running now. |
| Offline | The device has no network connection. |
| Not synced | This workspace has never completed a sync. |
| Storage full | The workspace is at or over its storage limit. |
| Sync blocked | Sync stopped because of an error. |
Alongside the status you may see counts of queued and pending operations — edits waiting to upload. These clear on their own once you are back online.
When Something Isn't Available
Not everything can be opened offline, and the app tells you which case you are in rather than showing a generic error:

| Not synced yet | Offline access was just turned on and the first sync is still running. |
| Requires a connection | This action needs the internet and cannot be done locally. |
| No access | You do not have permission to open this item. |
Edits that succeed locally show Saved offline — will sync when you reconnect.
Conflicts
If the same item changed both on your device and elsewhere while you were offline, Wyatt records a conflict instead of silently discarding either version. The Offline Access screen shows a conflict count, and opening it takes you to a screen where you choose which version to keep.
Voice and AI Offline
Two AI features keep working without a connection:
- Dictation runs on the device, so you can speak into the composer with no signal. If your device does not support on-device dictation, Wyatt says so rather than failing quietly.
- Conversations can be answered by a local model if you set one up. See On-Device AI.
Anything that genuinely needs the server — web search, for example — is unavailable until you reconnect.
